I kind of know why they call it Low Sunday, but we will still be there still worshiping as best we understand that term. I guess some would call us words like traditional and orthodox. Among other things I believe we serve as a place where any person might become aware of the historic church. I hope to see you on "Low" or on any Sunday. Blessings Terrence+
You should have been there!! The lawn sparkled and the floor of the church all most gleamed. The little church on the corner looked its best this morning and welcomed a super/ stellar group of people to Mass. We will pick up the Wed even services and study group this W and look as the results of the spiritual gifts inventories. Of course there will be food as well as lots of conversation. See you there???????? Blessings Terrence+
You know it worked. The Mass of Easter was a wonderful celebration. If not everything worked as planned, it does not matter for Our Lord knows that we were there and we were READY to receive Him in our hearts. We shall take this Wednesday off for a bit of a rest. Still, we are in church each Sunday and would most especially like to see you and yours. PS need to smog the car and such during this Easter week. Constant struggle between the values of this world and the next. Blessings Terrence+
Just finishing up my own Gifts study getting ready for our Wednesday Evening Prayer and talk. Thinking this will be a wrap up for the Gifts study and will talk a bit about next destination. As usual there will be a representative of the 5th food group, Pizza present at the table. Hope all who read will look up our Holy Week schedule and plan to attend one of the several services. Blessings Terrence+
What a beautiful procedure. Our Palm Sunday Mass was so very blessed as we formed up and took our faith on parade. If you were not there I am sorry. We will come together as church on Wednesday evening, Thursday eve and Friday. Someone once said that these three days coming up were the root of our faith and practice since FOREVER. Come join us and feel our Blessing. Terrence+
Just wanted to chime in and invite any who may be free to attend the Mass tomorrow at 6:30pm at the church. We are a Prayer Book parish and try very hard to keep those days marked as special. Besides, we can use the help to change the church to cover the crosses etc because we are now in Passiontide. This is a most serious time of the church year during which the church will do its best to add its voice to those who have documented/written of this special time of the year through the ages. What we approach is the heart of the faith. We invite you to join us as you can.
Blessings Terrence+
Just time to write a short note to celebrate the work and food that went down last Wednesday evening at the Supper & Study Group. It was good to share the laughter and joy of being church together. We are about to hit the road again to get to the Stations of the Cross and look forward to that as well for have just come from an encounter with the county government, all ways a joy as anyone who has had the pleasure will understand. Sometimes I think the church is the only sane place left on planet Earth. Blessings to all Terrence+
New and exciting things are happening in our back garden, just in time for the warm weather. We have made a beginning and the game is afoot, as someone might have said.
We plan to come together for a Supper and Study this coming W eve at 6:30pm when we will take up the matter of Spiritual Gifts with a bit of an exercise. You are most welcome to join us in this effort, and possibly learn of your own gifts that Our Lord wants you to bring to the party that is His church. Blessings Terrence+
Checking in with a tiny add on to Wednesday program. We are into the lesson plan. Yet, I would invite anyone interested to attend this coming midweek Study & Soup Supper event. And do not forget about the Stations of the Cross at noon on Friday. We have had an excellent turn out for these services which fit nicely into the contemplative nature of Lent. Look to see you at one or both of these events. Terrence+
Just updating those who read this that we had a very active group discussion this eve at the mid week Supper/Study Group that is currently focused on Biblical Gifts.
And I would like to invite everyone to the Stations of the Cross service at noon this coming Friday.
I also want to alert everyone to the fact that as we drove to church this evening we passed a sign at Ponce de Leon and Briarcliff advising that a Marathon will be run this coming Sunday March 18. If this is so traffic will be snarrled up and rerouted and a general mess. The message is to allow extra time on the way to Church Sunday. Blessings Terrence+
My wife and I were fortunate to be able to attend the Atlanta Symphony presentation of the St. Matthew's Passion just last night. I would recommend the music as completely appropriate for the season of Lent. The words were based on Luther's translation of the Bible so a bit of theology came packaged with the presentation. It was well received by a mostly attentive audience that again mostly stayed through the entire concert, until around midnight. It occurs to me that anyone might profit by just picking up their Bible and reading the appropriate chapters in Matthew's Gospel this Lent. Blessings

Just adding that I agree with the post that says you are welcome tomorrow. I did get a telephone call that asked if we did Mass today at 5:00pm but had to say No because of Grandson's Soccer Game. Still I would appreciate any comment concerning the need for a Saturday evening Mass. Bye the bye the game was a tie at 1 goal for each team.
