    Thoughts from Fr. Terry

We are all on a spiritual journey, and no two paths are the same.  Here are some of my thoughts on the journey.

    Bible Study

We at St. Hilda's are planning to return to our Biblical roots this coming W eve at 6:30pm when we will read Evening Prayer and take up a long interrupted study of II Sam. Hope to see you there and again on this coming Mother's Day. We all have a mother and she deserves all our prayers. Blessings Terrence+

    We're Back From The Synod

Back home safe and sound for our grand-daughters "Very Birthday" celebration. Synod was a joy, although my presentation was a bit of a situation. Archbishop made interesting observation that the church was like a happy family. That is the way Synod felt and we were glad to be there. While on the trip found out that two friends Paula and Mike were both admitted to separate hospitals in different parts of the country. Of your charity please pray for these two with intention that they shall, as Dame Julian would say, be well. Blessings Terrence+

    Synod

Sending out general msg to advise that we are off to FLA to Synod soon. Regret will be unable to communicate. Wonder if I am even writing to anyone or just whatever is out there. In any event we had a very meaning filled Mass today and look forward to seening YOU at Mass come Sunday. Blessings Terrence+

    Inman Park Festival

I hope you get a chance to drop over to our church web site and review the graphic that features our modest participation in the Inman Park Festival yesterday and today. We opened our doors and the people came. There was interest in our liturgy and teachings from several who happened bye, and interesting discussions from a variety of people who were curious to learn more about our church. It was a very blessed time. Look forward to seeing our new friends at Mass on Tuesday evening come 6:30 pm, the Feast of Philip & James. Blessings Terrence+

    Mass Day Change

One day soon I shall get organized, and then WATCH OUT. Meanwhile I post again to let you all know I made a wee mistake in that our next week day Mass will be the Feast of SS Philip & James App.MM. on TUESDAY not Monday as I said below. Did get the time right though it is still set at 6:30pm as usual. Blessings Terrence+

    Mass Next Monday

This church gathered this evening to celebrate the life and witness of St. Mark. What was a bit different was that a gentleman dropped in and sat in a pew far in the back of the church. He never said a word, but I talked to him after Mass and he observed that the church was a beautiful place to pray and that the prayers of the Mass spoke to him. I am so blessed to have had that conversation. I invite anyone who might want a praying parish to drop bye sometime and experience our community up close the way Our Lord ment it to be. Blessings Terrence+ PS we plan a Monday 6:30pm Mass for those who might not be able to come on Sunday due to work commitments.Mass ext Monday

    Time Change

Just a quick update on Saturday's events. Found out the Festival starts around noon, so we plan to show up at the church around 11:00 o'clock to open the doors. This is a change as I told the church we should be there much earlier, around nine. But you do not have to wait until Saturday to visit for we will celebrate St. Mark's Day on Wednesday evening with a Mass. Look to see you there. Blessings Terrence+

    Columbarium

Moving out and moving on. The church voted this afternoon to proceed with plans to establish a Columbarium and make some much needed changes to the garden. It was a true work of Our Lord when the church came together to begin something new in His Name. Oh and bye the bye we also plan to have a sort of open church come Saturday the 28th. Drop bye in the morning or early afternoon and check it out. Blessings Terrence+

    See You Sunday

Yesterday found us once again out and about, this time to the Dogwood Festival in Atlanta. Enjoyed a quiet day in the sometime sun looking at various arts and crafts and walking and talking. We were there at the invitation of some friends from the church and were amazed at the number of vendors. Need to nip down to the church just now, but will see you on the morrow for Mass. Blessings Terrence+

    Come Sunday

My bad. Forgot to sign the last post. Anyway wanted to sign back in to let everyone know that we are having a parish meeting come Sunday to talk about what has lately transpired at our church. Bye the bye "Come Sunday" is, I am told a lovely CD release new to my collection, cannot wait to hear some "mature" jazz by acknowledged masters. Hope to see you Sunday Terrence+
