Thoughts from Fr. Terry
We are all on a spiritual journey, and no two paths are the same. Here are some of my thoughts on the journey.

What the Church Can be
by Fr. Hall | February 16, 2012
This evening's study of the Archbishop's book brought a very wide ranging no holds bared sort of deep discussion that is an example of the church at a very profound level. Those not there DID miss a beautiful model of what church can be. And no we did not finish the text. BUT is does occur to me as I write that next Wednesday is in fact Ash Wednesday. We have planned the Imposition of Ashes and a Mass at 12:oo noon and at 6:30pm to mark the event. Please make plans to join us then.
On next Sunday, we plan to have a Holy Spirit luncheon. Everyone please plan to attend that event after Mass as well.
Blessings Terrence+
Brunch Next Sunday
by Fr. Hall | February 13, 2012
Just a heads up to all out there who may be interested. Next Sunday is Quinquagesima Sunday. We are planning a brunch type get-to-gether after Mass with a free will donation of favorite dishes from the church family. Drop bye if you are in the Inman Park area. Blessings Terrence+
Mass In Milton
by Fr. Hall | February 12, 2012
Good evening all. We just have finished a very busy day. We offered the Mass at St. Hilda's and I noted with joy that we remain strong in attendance. Later in the afternoon we were glad to be a part of the Mass held out in Milton for our dear brother and former member Gergory West. Anyone who happens to be out Milton way might drop bye the Ebenezer Methodist of a Sunday afternoon to participate in the Mass which our new ACC mission offers. I am sure you would find a welcome there.
Wed. Study Group Continues
by Fr. Hall | February 9, 2012
Just finished another Wednesday night study group. We had considerable conversation on a number of issues coming from our reading of the Archbishop's book. First written in 1996, the book is all ready in its third printing. The material is as topical as the evening news, but it deals with the information the media provides from a thoroughly Christian perspective. We plan to wrap up the study by Lent when we are considering a completely different topic. You can still join us. You can also make longer range plans to join us for Stations of the Cross every Friday during Lent. We will announce the time for the Stations as we get closer to the date and the church comes to agree on the best time. Blessings Terrence +
Planning for Lent
by Fr. Hall | February 7, 2012
We had a blessed if somewhat confusing Mass yesterday. On Wednesday our group will meet with Evening Prayer then discuss the practical side of our Archbiship's book in which we find a direct forthright discussion to many of the issues that face us on a daily basis. As usual all who choose to drop bye are welcome.
Still thinking and in prayer about our Lenten Program, but some ideas are rising to the surface that I think will benefit each of us in the church. You can still arrange your schedule to join us on Wednesday eve.
We are also planning to do the Stations of the Cross each Friday during Lent. Time yet to be determined. If you have a preference you could drop bye the parish web site and let us know.
Blessings Terrence+
Improvements
by Fr. Hall | February 5, 2012
Hello out there. Just to let you know you will be seeing some exterior changes should you walk bye our little church. The results of our Annual Meeting, or at least some of them, should be a great addition to our neighborhood. Drop in and see us some Sunday. We are there at 10:30am, and during the week as well, but drop over to our parish web site for those details. Terrence+
Annual Meeting Update
by Fr. Hall | January 30, 2012
Our Annual General Meeting took place yesterday. I am very excited about the decisions that were made and am sure they will add to the wealth of our common experience of Our Lord. It feels very much like a start is made and one that will have lasting impacts on our church. If you read this and were not there you missed something of a sea change. In any case we shall come together again on Wed. eve next to pick up the Archbishop's text. I shall prepare the lesson and we shall all benefit from the work of a Lay Reader in training. Hope to see you there. Terrence+
Gregory West services update
by Fr. Terry | January 26, 2012
This is an update for those who are interested in Gregory West's service. I have made further contacts and can say definitely that the service will be on Sunday, 12 February at 3:00pm at the Methodist church in Milton. Fr. Roddy has confirmed that he will travel from VA for this Mass. I hope this clarifies for all the confusion I may have caused by earlier posts. Terrence+

Notice to all who may be interested. The Annual General Meeting of St. Hilda's will be held this Sunday coming after Mass. We have an ambitious agenda and I hope all who are concerned will be able to stay for the meeting. So much to do and so little time. Terrence+
